Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker have done it again!!! I had my doubts on my ways to the movie theater. I thought to myself: "Rush Hour 1 and 2 were very funny, I don't think Jackie and Chris will have the same performance this time." I have seen many movies that after the second episode, becomes what my father calls a "chewing gum"... a story that keeps repeating itself and loses flavor! Well, even though I was hyped up about the movie, I though there is NO WAY they can outdo their first two movies... but shooot... I was absolutely wrong!
From the beginning to the end of the end, Rush Hour 3 kept me laughing the whole time. I can't yet pin point what in the world was so funny but I guess the unexpected comments, expressions, ... things just out of the ordinary. For example, the movie started with Chris dancing and singing to an iPod tune right in the middle of traffic while re-directing it. And you know how Chris sings... with his high pitch voice and his funny bounces... I couldn't believe that this man still got the funny in him.
Aside from the funny comments, there were some truth to this movie that I am sure most people will miss because of the nature of the story. When the french guy first saw Chris, he didn't want to help him and he said this was because he was an American and that American bring violence wherever they go. I thought, wow, this is really the reality of the world today. I am not so much big on politics but Chris and Jacky did a great job making fun of the opinion of the world. And you know what else I found as a hidden message, Chris made the driver (George) sing the American hymn in France... I don't know if anyone caught the disrespect but isn't it what usually happens? We, Americans, go to other countries and try to "convert" them to our cultures... etc
Anyway, there are other opinions out there, but I am interested to find out what you have to say about this movie. Go watch it and let me know....
